Enjoying the kids at the Sanctuary on 8th Street is always a blessing for me! We painted another mural for the annual fundraiser called SHINDIG! We followed the same format as the Sunflowers at the Sanctuary blog. This year, we painted a sea turtle that was auctioned off for over $300.00. Follow along. This is a great project that involves all the kids and can make some money for your organization too!

Print out your desired image on card stock paper. I set up the image for full page tiling in Illustrator to fit 2, 2 x 3 canvases. Cut each 8.5 x 11 pieces of paper into sizes that each child can paint on.

Make sure you number the tiles on the back!

Kids painting directly onto the cardstock.

Make sure you tell them to paint the colors that they see!

Painting the Sea Turtle

Finished Sea Turtle. After I put the pieces back together, I added beading, glitter, and epoxy resin.

Nothing's better than a bunch of smiles!

I love watching the kids paint, investing all their effort into one small piece of the painting. When I am putting the final mural together, I am ALWAYS reminded how WE TOO are apart of the bigger picture. We  ALL have a part of GOD’S masterpiece. I pray that TODAY, we can put our best effort into the bigger painting!
Colossians 3:23 says this:
“Whatever you do, work at it with ALL your heart, as working for the LORD, not for men…”
