Merging an act of service and a great sense of style, the Liv for Christ jewelry designer does more than sharpen looks with beautiful baubles; she is fervently committed to helping others and spreading the love of Christ. Founded in 2014, Liv for Christ was born out of 13 year-old founder, Olivia Nolan’s ambition to sell her self-designed jewelry in order to generate funds for local charities. Wooden tassel bracelets, creative wire rings and colorful bangles featuring jasper, jade and amethyst stones make up the Liv for Christ collection that is sold exclusively as a form of philanthropy.
Last Thursday, June 29, ThouArtExalted hosted an Art Camp reception for parents to see and hear what the girls had learned and created throughout the week. Olivia, who has attended Art Camp the last 7 years, asked if she could sell some of her jewelry during the reception. As a creative ministry for girls, we were thrilled to give this budding jewelry designer the opportunity to share her artistic talents with others!
What we weren’t expecting, was to be Olivia’s charity of choice. Excited and inspired by our recent announcement of our Awake My Soul New Testament App (coming in January 2017), Olivia chose to donate a portion of her proceeds to help fund the development of our app. WOW! The entire TAE team was completely overwhelmed by Olivia’s generosity and the evidence of God’s great love for these girls and this ministry!
It’s no surprise that Olivia’s one-of-a-kind pieces were a huge hit with the 8th-12th grade girls, as she nearly sold out of the 45 pieces she created specifically for the event. We are so proud of you, Olivia, for weaving your passion with your purpose and using your artistic gifts and talents to the glory of God! Thank you, again, for supporting ThouArtExalted Ministries and for the incredible example you are setting for other girls!
If you’d like to purchase a Liv for Christ original, Olivia will be selling her jewelry at our next two Junior Art Camp receptions on Friday, July 15 and Friday, July 22 from 6:00-7:00 pm at St. John’s Presbyterian Church.
