The Joy Jar: Devotional and Art Project

Have you ever wanted to study God’s Word and be creative at the same time? Here is a great way to have a devotion and apply God’s Word with your imagination to make a Joy Jar!

Start with the devotional card (download below) which is a lesson from the Bible study James: Following God’s Road Signs for Preteen Girls. The passage is from James 1:2-4 and is called: No Parking in Self-Pity. Then, use these directions to make your joy jar.

Place your troubles into the jar and pull them out every now and then to SEE how God has used your trial to make your faith STRONGER and BETTER. It’s not easy going through tough times, but GOD is faithful. The Joy Jar will remind you of that!  Have FUN and be JOYFUL!
