26 Jan All Things are Possible with God
This morning in our 8th grade Bible study, we looked at the “Undivided” devotional (today’s app reading by Joani Ross) and talked about what divides our loyalty with God. The first responses from the girls were familiar struggles such as family, school, and friends. I even chimed in and said ministry can sometimes divide my loyalty with God. As our discussion deepened, I felt the Holy Spirit join our conversation. The conviction was that it’s not necessarily the THING that divides us, it’s that we haven’t INVITED God to be a part of it. Whether it’s a family situation, a test, a drama episode at school, a sport injury, or a ministry deadline, if we haven’t asked God to be a part of it, we are managing life on our own. And that IS IMPOSSIBLE.
Today’s graphic reminds us that All things are possible WITH God—so why do we leave Him out of the equation? We can’t just throw God in our backpacks and take Him out when it’s “Christian” to do so. No. For God to be “All IN,” we have to invite Him into our everyday lives.
In the DIG DEEPER section we learned that He wants to be involved in our everyday activities — so when we are weak, GOD ALONE can make us strong (2 Corinthians 12:10). When we truly seek God with all of our hearts, He will be found and the door will be opened (Jeremiah 29:13 and Matthew 7:7). All things are possible with God (Matthew 19:26!
Today, don’t leave Him out.
Invite Him into your everything!
