From Worry to Peace

Is your BOY’S Bible Study this EXCITING at 6:50 am?? It’s a GOOD THING we studied changing the channel from WORRY to PEACE. Maybe you need to hear this message as much as I did.
Verse: John 20:19-31
It’s amazing how worry disappears the minute Jesus appears on the scene. Jesus can break into our fears and worries even without a key! The disciples learn quickly that when Jesus is present, so is a peace of mind and spirit. While Jesus isn’t with us today in physical form, Ephesians 1:13 promises that the Spirit is present. When we believe in Christ, the Holy Spirit is just as present and with us today as Jesus was to His disciples.
Jesus told Thomas not to doubt (worry) but to change the channel to believing (peace). Why?

  • Worry questions God‘s faithfulness.
  • Peace trusts in God‘s provision.
  • Worry is based in fear.
  • Peace is based in God‘s love.
  • Worry chokes the joy of today.
  • Peace brings us joy even when life is uncertain.

Philippians 4:6-7 tells us not to worry but to pray and be thankful. Prayer also brings Jesus‘s peace into our situations. Worrying will never give us peace. No. Worry will only give us problems. Change the channel of your worry and come to Jesus with your prayers and experience His peace.
Lord, teach me to live in peace and not worry. When I start to worry, please redirect my thoughts to prayer with an attitude of thankfulness. I want to experience Your peace that breaks down the walls of fear and unbelief. Protect my mind and my heart so that I may live in the presence of Your peace. Your love is all I need. Amen.
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.“ Matthew 6:34 (NLT)
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. If you do this, you will experience God‘s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)
“And when you believed in Christ, He identified you as His own by giving you the Holy Spirit.“ Ephesians 1:13 (NLT)
