Go get it girl!

Cowabunga – oh the joy of a sledgehammer!

1816 Talbot was the home for my Dad’s business: Daley and Associates and my mom’s Interior design studio for 34 years. I remember stopping in often in high school and watching both my parents press forward in their careers. Their hard work taught my sisters and me not to give up, persevere, be creative, have fun, be patient, and pursue the passions that God had given each of us. They taught us that we were smart, significant, and that God had a big plan for each of us. We never thought that we couldn’t accomplish something. Their love backed us and their encouragement filled us with gumption and “go-get-it-girl” spirit!

My precious mom still has this spirit. I’m sure it’s tough watching the walls of her once interior design office come down. And while I am sledgehammering, she is battling a fight of her own. Ovarian cancer. Yet even through this tough journey, she can stop long enough to show up for a goofy picture and encourage me all the more. She puts her pain aside and continues to tell her four girls that we are still smart, creative, important, driven, and blessed to know Jesus and all He has done. Her Kingdom work is not finished.

AND neither is yours or mine.

Go get it girl!

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

“Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord.” Psalm 31:24

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” James 1:12

I stopped by today, first time since “Daley and (His) Associate” closed its doors! Gotta admit, it was an eerie feeling stepping through the front door and trying to picture where my desk for 30 yrs was located! Glad the “demolition” work has begun and your dream is coming together for ThouArtExalted!!

Wow, I’m so proud of you and all you have accomplished. Can wait to see your new space fill with God’s love for so many. I can’t wait to see it all finished.
