The Faith Banner

The Faith Banner is our 4th art project in the study of James: Following God’s Road Signs. These 3 lessons have taught us that we need to put actions behind our faith. We studied about Abraham and Rahab and how their FAITH in God was justified because they believed in the power of the Almighty. Our FAITH should be a reflection of HIM. Let’s take our FAITH on the highway of Life!
We had a great time in the ART GARAGE with my 8th grade Bible study girls! These photos will prove it.
You can also see the Art Instructional Video and download all the instructions, templates, and scripture!

Step one...Have all your art supplies ready!

Start painting your watercolor paper with LOTS of bright colors!

Have FUN making lots of different textures.

While you are waiting for your paint to dry, cut out the cross template and lightly glue shapes onto your watercolor paper.

Once glued, paint white gesso over your ENTIRE paper. Write words (like faith, love, action...) quickly before the paint dries.

Carefully peel up the cross, leaves, and butterflies.

Add trim to the top and bottom of your Faith Banner.

Punch two holes at the top to hang a ribbon and add your scripture! Voila...Your Faith Banner!

Aw, this was an incredibly good post. Finding the time and actual effort to generate a
good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a lot and don’t seem to get anything done.
